Getting to Canary Wharf - By Tube, DLR, Bus, Car

Canary Wharf is more than just high buildings and big business. Canary Wharf really has a lot of places to visit and sights to see. If you do not know how to get to Canary Wharf, the following travel information may be helpful when getting to Canary Wharf.

1. Tube. Canary Wharf Jubilee Line station is in Zone 2. Estimated travelling times from/to Canary Wharf, on the Jubilee Line (Grey Line) are:
From/To Waterloo 11 minutes - From/To Green Park 15 minutes - From/To Westminster 13 minutes - From/To London Bridge 7 minutes - From/To Baker Street 20 minutes.

2. DLR (Overground). From the Bank Station, you can take DLR (Docklands Light Railway) from the Central or Northern tube lines of the station. There will be an 11 minutes of journey before you get to Canary Wharf, and that is without a driver. The station you should wait at is Zone 2. By taking DLR, you will have a fun journey since the track has many ups and downs during the few minutes. You will feel like in a roller coaster. The view is beautiful as well. Along the journey, you will pass Backton, Lewisham, Bank, and Tower Gateway. DLR is operated from 5.30 am to 12.30 am on weekdays, from 5.30 am to 12.30 am on Saturday, and from 7 am o 11 pm on Sunday.

If you wish to get to Canary Wharf directly from London City Airport, then you can use the Jubilee Line that heads to Canning Town. 4. Car. There are four underground car parks, three of them take you directly to Cabot, Canada, and Jubilee Place shopping malls. Even if Canary Wharf at times can seem busy and crowded, there are over 2,900 car parking spaces. All of the four public car parking services hold AA Secured Car Park awards.

At weekends and Bank Holidays, you get 3 hours free parking in any of the public car parks when you spend £10 at any shop, restaurant, bar or cafe in Canary Wharf. From 6pm–4am daily, parking at a cost of £2 for the first 2 hours and £6 thereafter. Car parking rates range between £3.50 for up to 2 hours to £20.00 for 6-10 hours.
